Research Track

Our department has been working on enhancing its research efforts. We have recently started work on developing a research fellowship track. This fellowship will allow individuals the opportunity to participate in an additional year of fellowship training following the completion of their core-anesthesia residency training. These fellowship training opportunities will provide an opportunity to customize the research experience into a wide array of possibilities from bench, translational and computer/information technology. We would be happy to discuss this opportunity with you.

Mentoring matters for our faculty, our departments, and our institution.

In academic medicine, mentoring attends to two dimensions: career-advancement interventions and social-psychological support. Mentoring is shown to influence career success, satisfaction, and productivity, thus enhancing the institution’s investment, retention rates, and reputation. It can mean the difference between success and failure for early career faculty, who are searching for guidance, a sense of belonging, and confidence in their academic journey.
