Chief's Letter

We appreciate your interest in our residency program.  We are very proud of our program and its attributes.  This is reflected in our resident satisfaction and competency upon program completion.  Our program offers an unrivaled variety of surgical cases based on the diversity of our hospitals.   University Hospital provides a national referral center for complex oncologic operations and organ transplantation.  Eskenazi Health offers a multitude of high-acuity trauma, high-volume obstetrics, ambulatory anesthesia, and strong regional anesthesia instruction.  Riley Hospital represents a national leader in pediatric care, with its own accredited pediatric fellowship program.  Our Veterans Hospital serves as a statewide referral center for predominantly older veterans with multiple comorbidities.  Finally, Methodist Hospital serves as a strong supplement to our cardiovascular anesthesia training and also offers high-risk obstetric anesthesia experience.  If you are looking for a residency program that combines diverse clinical training with remarkable national board passing rates, Indiana University may be right for you.  We welcome you to discover first-hand via a visit to our campus.
