Work Schedule and Benefits

Fellows have clinical responsibilities on weekdays in addition to a call schedule. Call is taken from home. When on call, fellows participate in cases that occur "after hours" or on weekends. Fellows are free from clinical responsibilities the day following call. Salary and benefits, including health insurance, vacation, and meeting days, are commensurate with PGY-5 resident level at Indiana University.

Time off

Fellows are eligible for 20 working days of vacation and 5 conference days to be used to attend the SPA (the Society for Pediatric Anesthesia annual conference). The Department of Anesthesia provides a Continuing Medical Education stipend of $2000 to cover expenses to the SPA.
