During this one-year non ACGME accredited program. Anesthesia dental fellows will work
under the direct supervision of academic anesthesiologists to provide general
anesthesia and sedation for a variety of operative cases. Fellows can expect to receive intensive
training in airway management, intravenous access, and cardiovascular
physiology. Work hours are very
reasonable, and fellows are provided with salary, benefits, and paid vacation. This is a great opportunity to obtain
exposure to the field of dental anesthesiology or to further skills in the area
of sedation and airway management.
It also serves as a powerful curriculum vitae builder for placement into
an oral surgery or accredited dental anesthesia residency.

Stipends for 2015-2016 for
Levels 1 through 10: http://medicine.iu.edu/residents/new/stipends/
eligible for 15 working days of vacation per year and five sick days.
Additional time off at Christmas or New Year’s holidays are arranged, when
possible. Attendance at scientific meetings, not to exceed five working days
per year, shall be considered part of the training program. The Department of
Anesthesiology provides a stipend ($2,000 total over three years) for each
resident to cover expenses for anesthesiology meetings. Maternity leave,
paternity leave, etc. are considered on an individual basis.
