Application Process

All interested applicants for Fall 2017 admission must complete an application via the Centralized Application Service for Anesthesiologist Assistants (CASAA) by May 1, 2017.

All interested applicants for Fall 2018 admission must complete an application via CASAA by February 1, 2018.

All application materials and supporting documentation must be submitted through the CASAA application. We are unable to accept documents submitted directly to the program.

1.     Create an applicant account on CASAA.

2.     Select IUSM AA Program from the list of programs.

3.     Complete all sections on the application (Personal Information, Academic History, Supporting Information and Program Materials). The Program Materials section is specific to our program.

4.     Submit your application for verification.

5.     If invited, attend an in-person interview with the program Admissions Committee.

Important Application Information

  • Official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions should be sent to CASAA.
  • The GRE program-specific code is 2123. Educational Testing Services (ETS) will transmit official GRE scores electronically to CASAA.
  • MCAT must be directly sent to CASAA from AAMC.
  • Your application materials must be verified by CASAA in order for our admissions committee to review your materials. Please check the status of your application after you submit your full application. If several weeks have gone by and CASAA has not verified your application, please contact CASAA as pieces may be missing from your application.
  • Our program will send you an email confirmation when your application has been verified by CASAA.
  • Personal interviews are offered to the most qualified applicants to assess interpersonal and communication skills, professionalism, and leadership. Interviews are required for admission consideration.
  • If you are accepted to the program, you will be required to complete a criminal background check and drug screen release form.
  • Indiana University is a state school but non-residents are offered acceptances as well. Rules of residency may be viewed at
  • IUSM AA program requires learners to have access to reliable transportation across training sites. There is the potential for out of town clinical rotations during the final three semesters.
